YOU ARE NOTIFIED that the above styled action seeking the termination of the parental rights of the parents of the above named child was filed against you in said Court on the 23rd day of March, 2026 and that by reason of an Order for service by publication entered by the Court on the 23rd day of March, 2026.
YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED AND REQUIRED to appear before the Juvenile Court of Clarke County, Georgia, in Athens, Georgia, on the 17th day of June, 2026 at 1:00 o'clock, p.m. The hearing is for the purpose of determining whether parental rights should be terminated. A copy of the petition may be obtained from the Clerk of the Juvenile Court at 325 E. Washington Street, Room 115; Athens, Georgia 30601, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. exclusive of holidays. A free copy shall be available to the parents. Upon request, the copy will be mailed to the requester. The general nature of the allegations is: that the child is a dependent child as defined by O.C.G.A. Sect. 15-11-2.
NOTICE TO unknown father and anyone with a parental interest in the child: You will lose all rights to the child and will not be entitled to object to the termination of your rights to the child unless, within 30 days of receipt of such notice, you file a petition to legitimate the child pursuant to Code Section 19-7-22.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that while responsive pleadings other than the petition to legitimate are not mandatory they are permissible and you are encouraged to file with the Clerk of
this court and serve upon Petitioner's attorney, K. Angela Pope, at the below address, an answer or other responsive pleading within thirty (30) days of the date this notice was served on you.
You are hereby informed that you are entitled to have an attorney represent you, and that the Court will appoint counsel at no cost if the party is unable, without undue financial hardship, to employ counsel. You may contact the Public Defender’s Office at (706) 369-6440 to see if you qualify.
WITNESS THE HONORABLE Amanda Trimble, Judge of said Court. This 23rd day of March, 2026.
