NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING   On Tuesday, the 14th day of April 2026, the Council of the City of Hopewell, Virginia (the “City”), will hold a public hearing on the proposed issuance of general obligation bonds of the city in the estimated maximum principal amount of $15,000,000. [The purpose of the proposed bonds is to pay costs related to the construction, improvement, and replacement of equipment and facilities for public schools, including, without limitation, HVAC upgrades and replacements.] Proceeds of the bonds may be applied to pay, in addition to the costs of such projects, related financing and issuance costs. Such bonds shall be general obligations of the City to the payment of which the City’s full faith and credit shall be irrevocably pledged. The full text of the ordinance authorizing the issuance of the bonds is on file in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection during regular business hours. The meeting will begin at 5:00 pm, with the public hearing to begin at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers (Third Floor) in the Municipal Building, 300 North Main Street, Hopewell, Virginia. Interested persons may appear at such time and place and present their views.
