NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF MARSHALL BOARD OF ALDERMEN The Town of Marshall Board of Aldermen will hold the following Public Hearing on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the A-B Tech Madison campus located at 4646 US-25 #70, Marshall, NC 28753 to consider the following item: 1. Requested Annexation and Rezoning, ANN-2026-1 & REZ-2026-1 A Petition for Voluntary Non-Contiguous Annexation by Mad-Knox, LLC dated February 16, 2026. The area proposed for annexation and if annexed subsequent rezoning is described as PIN 9716-48-4050, located on US 25-70 directly adjacent to the A-B Tech Madison Campus, Deed Book 827 Page 616, containing 7.13 acres. If annexed, the Planning Board recommends zoning the parcel as HB Highway Business. The annexation petition and map, as well as recommended zoning, are available for review at Marshall Town Hall Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. At the hearing, any person may appear and be heard on questions of sufficiency of the petition and desirability of the annexation. If the Board of Aldermen finds and determines that (i) the area described in the petition meets all of the standards set out in 160A 58.1(b), (ii) the petition bears the signatures of all of the owners of real property within the area proposed for annexation, (iii) the petition is otherwise valid, and (iv) the public health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the town and of the area proposed for annexation will be best served by the annexation, the Board of Aldermen may adopt an ordinance annexing the area described in the petition.
