SPECIAL NOTICE NOMINATION OF PUBLIC LIBRARY TRUSTEES AND NOTICE OF ANNUAL MEETING FOR THE GREENWOOD LAKE PUBLIC LIBRARY GREENWOOD LAKE UNION FREE SCHOOL DISTRICT GREENWOOD LAKE, NY 10925   NOTICE is hereby given that a Public Hearing of the inhabitants of the Greenwood Lake Union Free School District will be held at the Greenwood Lake Public Library, 79 Waterstone Road, Greenwood Lake, New York, in said District, Friday, May 8, 2026 at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM for such business as is authorized by the Education Law. NOTICE is hereby given that in accordance with section 1735 of the Education Law (Chapter 631, Laws of 1952) and amended by Education Law, Section 2018, Laws of 1974, effective January 1, 1975, candidates for the office of Trustee of the Greenwood Lake Public Library shall be nominated by petition. Such petition shall be directed to the Clerk of the School District, shall state the names and residences of the candidates, shall be signed by at least twenty-five (25) qualified voters of the District, and whether such candidates are nominated for full terms or for the un-expired portions of such terms and shall state the specific office for which a candidate is nominated. Each petition shall be filed with the Clerk of the District not later than the thirtieth day preceding the Library Meeting or Election at which candidates so nominated are to be elected.
