Monday, April 20, 2026, the Hanover Borough Zoning Hearing Board will hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM in the Borough Council Chambers, 33 Frederick Street – Main Level, Hanover, Pennsylvania, (entry to the building is through the side entrance) to hear the following requests:
A Zoning Hearing Board Application, requesting consideration for a Special Exception, as allowed by the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover, County of York, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was submitted by Philip G. Redding, 751 George Street, Hanover, PA 17331, and represented by John R. Wilson, Esquire, with CGA Law Firm, 135 N. George Street, York, PA 17401, for the property located at 751 George Street to include the following parcels (parcel no. 67-000-14-0001.00-00000; 67-000-DD-0062.00-00000 & 67-000-DD-0228.00-00000), Hanover, PA 17331 which is located in the MU (Mixed Use) Zoning District. The applicant is requesting consideration for relief in the form of a Special Exception, as per:

Blazek, Esquire with Strausbaugh Law, PLLC 104 Baltimore Street, Gettysburg, PA 17325 for the property located at 258 Baltimore street, Hanover, PA 17331. Parcel No. 67-000-05-004800-00000 located in the Mixed-Use (MU) Zoning District. The applicant is requesting consideration for approval of a Special Exception Use and relief in the form of a Variance, both as per:
• Article III Section 140-303(B)(1) of the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover
Applicant is seeking a Variance, pursuant to Section 140-303(B)(1) allowing more than one principal residential use.
• Article III Section 140-303(B)(3) of the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover
Applicant is seeking approval of two separate Special Exception uses, pursuant to Section 140-303 (B)(3). The uses include Dwelling, Two-Family Detached (Duplex) and Halfway House (with one on each side of the existing duplex).
A Zoning Hearing Board Application, requesting consideration for approval of a Variance relief request, as allowed by the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover, County of York, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania was submitted Hanover Land Services, Inc., 55 Centennial Avenue, Suite 125, Hanover, PA 17331 on behalf of UDT #4921, Dated 11/2/13, Trustee Kevin Zeigler, P.O. Box 21752, Sarasota, FL 21752 for the properties located at 300 and 300 ½ Third Street, Hanover, PA 17331. Parcel No. 67-000-11-0205-00-00000 located in the R-5 (Higher Density Residential) Zoning District. The applicant is requesting consideration for approval of relief in the form of a Variance, as per:
• Article III Section 140-302(B) of the Zoning Code of the Borough of Hanover
Applicant is seeking approval of relief in the form of a Variance, pursuant to Section 140-302 (B).
