LEGAL NOTICE
Sealed proposals in duplicate will be received by the Director of Public Service of the City of Dover, Ohio, at his office in the City Building until 10:00 o'clock on:
TUESDAY, APRIL 28, 2026
and will be opened and read the same day at the same time for:
THE FURNISHING OF LABOR AND MATERIALS FOR PROFILING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS AND INSTALLING 10,000 TONS OF BITUMINOUS MATERIALS FOR THE CITY OF DOVER, OHIO;
Specifications on which bids are requested are on file at the office of the Director of Public Service in the City Building. All bids shall comply with the requirements of such specifications.
Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of 1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit, equal to 10% of the bid; or 2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranty as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. The amount of the bid for said guaranty purposes shall include all additive and deductive alternates. All bid guaranties shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening, a proper contract shall be executed, and that upon failure or refusal to enter into said contract within ten (10) days after receipt of notification of award the bidder and the surety on any bond shall be liable to the City in an amount not to exceed ten (10) per cent of the bid.
Each bidder must insure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin.
All bids shall comply with all of the requirements of the specifications and contract documents.
This is authorized by Ordinance 55-25, passed 15 December 2025.
The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
