NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Ordinance 1446 was read on its first reading April 6, 2026 and is scheduled to be considered for passage and approval on its second and final reading at the Regular Meeting on April 20, 2026 at 7:00 o'clock p.m. or soon thereafter in the City Commission Chambers, #1 South Allapaha Avenue, Davenport, Florida.
ORDINANCE NO. 1446: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DAVENPORT, FLORIDA; AMENDING THE DAVENPORT CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 11, "MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC," ARTICLE VI, "TRAFFIC INFRACTION DETECTION DEVICES AND SCHOOL ZONE SPEED LIMIT DETECTION SYSTEMS," TO DESIGNATE SPECIFIC LOCATIONS FOR THE USE OF TRAFFIC INFRACTION DETECTION DEVICES AND SCHOOL ZONE SPEED LIMIT DETECTION SYSTEMS; PROVIDING FOR AUTHORITY, PURPOSE AND INTENT; PROVIDING FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
A copy of the proposed Ordinance can be obtained from the office of the City Clerk at City Hall, #1 South Allapaha Avenue Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8am – 5pm. The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the public meeting.
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), anyone who needs a special accommodation for this meeting should contact City Hall at (863) 419-3300 at least 48 hours in advance of the meeting, excluding Saturday and Sunday.
Any person who desires to appeal a decision of the Board will need a record of the proceedings and may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings be made to include the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
