PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
ZONING AMENDMENTS
Per MGL, Ch. 40A, §5, the Sterling Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, April 23, 2026, starting at 6:40 PM, in Meeting Room 205 at the Butterick Municipal Building, 1 Park Street, Sterling MA 01564 to consider a proposed amendment to the Protective Bylaws (Zoning Bylaws).
To see if the Town will vote to amend the [Protective/Zoning] Bylaws of the Town of Sterling, “Article_3_, Section 301-4.2.2”, by adding the following italicized text 1.) Lot Area. Lot area to be fully contained within the Sterling town boundary, Minimum lot area shall be not less than the greater of: (i) five acres; or (ii) the following minimum lot area per dwelling unit multiplied by the number of dwelling units shall not be less than the following: DISTRICT: Neighborhood Residence: 10,000 square feet , Rural Residence and Farming 15,0000 square feet1
