Proposed Amendments to Medway Subdivision
Regulations
Tuesday, April 28, 2026
Pursuant to G.L. c. 41, §81Q, the Medway Planning and Economic Development Board (PEDB) will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at Sanford Hall, located in Medway Town Hall at 155 Village Street, Medway, to receive comments on proposed amendments to the PEDB Rules and Regulations for the Review and Approval of Land Subdivisions. As a courtesy, access via Zoom will also be provided.
The proposed amendments constitute a comprehensive set of revisions with amendments throughout the Regulations, and are summarized below. The revisions are intended to: bring the Regulations up to date with best management practices, DEP Stormwater Policy, industry standards, and current PEDB practices; ensure consistency with the Subdivision Control Law, other regulations and bylaws; provide consistency with the Town’s Site Plan Rules and Regulations; correct outdated references and names, delete unnecessary provisions, and general editing for clarity and grammar. Revisions are proposed to the following Sections: Section 1 General; Section 2 Definitions; Section 3 Procedure for Submission and Review of ANR plans; Section 4 Procedure for Submission and Review of Preliminary Subdivision plans; Section 5 Procedure for Submission and Review of Definitive plans; Section 6 Administration of Approved Subdivisions; Section 7 Design and Construction Standards; Section 8 Administration; and Appendices for Forms, Construction Details, and fees.
A draft of the proposed amendments is on file at the offices of the Town Clerk and the Community and Economic Development Department at Medway Town Hall, 155 Village Street, and may be reviewed during regular business hours.
