PUBLIC NOTICE CITY OF TWO RIVERS ORDINANCE 26-058 An Ordinance to amend Title 2, Chapter 2-4 of the Municipal Code of the City of Two Rivers, Wisconsin, regulating Municipal Judges and Title 1, Chapter 1-2 of the Municipal Code regulating Fees, based on the recommendation of the City Manager: This ordinance amends Title 2, Chapter 2-4 and Title 1, Chapter 1-2 of the Municipal Code to update procedures related to municipal court operations and fees. Key provisions include clarifying that forfeitures, fines, and costs imposed by the municipal judge will be collected by the Chief of Police and remitted to the City Treasurer. The ordinance also establishes a $48 municipal court fee for most court actions, including guilty or no contest pleas, failure to appear, or convictions after trial. Of this fee, $5 is paid to the State of Wisconsin and $43 is retained by the City to support court operations, consistent with state law.
