INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids will be received by Plumstead Township electronically via PennBid until 11:00 AM on May 6, 2026, for the following projects and materials:
1. Rubberized Crack Seal, Pave Patch and Ultra-thin Bonded Wearing Course- Portion of the Landis Greene Development
2. On-Road Low Sulfur Diesel Fuel & Premium Unleaded Gasoline
Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 11:00 AM on May 6, 2026. Specifications and forms for the proposals may be obtained and/or examined on the internet at www.pennbid.net. The successful bidder is required to pay fees established by PennBid.
Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by the non-collusion and workmen’s compensation affidavits, and a bid bond, issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to the Township. Bidders must be prequalified by PennDOT as contractors (if specified in the bid documents).
Ultra-thin Bonded Wearing Course-Portion of Landis Greene development: Prospective bidders must meet with the Director of Public Works by calling 215-766-0189 prior to submitting a bid. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who did not meet with the Director in person to discuss this project.
Ultra-thin Bonded Wearing Course-Portion of Landis Greene development: These projects are subject to the regulations of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act 442) as amended.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory insurance, Performance, Payment & Maintenance Bonds (if specified in the bid documents) with a corporate surety approved by the Township.
Award of contract, if a contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.
