The City of Apalachicola is seeking proposals for disaster monitoring services, with a strong emphasis on utilizing small, minority, women-owned, veteran-owned, and labor surplus area businesses in compliance with 2 CFR 200.321. Prospective bidders must demonstrate affirmative steps to include these entities in subcontracting and supply opportunities. The city operates as an Equal Opportunity Employer, seeking qualified contractors for debris management and monitoring.
Sealed proposals will be received by the CITY OF APALACHICOLA on May 22, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time at Apalachicola’s City Hall located at 1 Bay Avenue, APALACHICOLA, FLORIDA 32320, for Disaster Debris Monitoring Services in the City of Apalachicola. Bid proposals will be read aloud on May 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time at above City Hall address.

Bid Package Questions may be submitted to Leslie Glaze until May 8, 2026. All bids must follow the instructions on the bid package documents located on the City of Apalachicola's website, www.cityofapalachicola.com.
The bidder shall show evidence of his or her current license number by placing the number on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the proposal is delivered. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the City's judgement, the best interest of the City will thereby be promoted.
All bidders must be fully capable, both financially and in experience, of performing and completing the work in a satisfactory manner within the required time frames. Bidder shall have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience with a minimum of three (3) equivalent projects.
Non-resident bidders must accompany any written bid documents with a written opinion of an attorney-at-law licensed to practice law in such non-resident bidder's state of domicile, as to the preferences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business entities whose principal places of business are in that state in the letting of any or all public contracts.
