NEW AMBULANCE BUILDING PROJECT
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed bids from qualified general, mechanical, electrical and plumbing prime contractors will be received by the Jenner Township Supervisors at 2058 Lincoln Highway, Boswell, PA 15531 until 2:00 P.M., local prevailing time, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 for the New Ambulance Building Project with the bid opening to occur in public immediately thereafter.
Contract No. 01 (General Construction) work generally includes, but is not limited to, construction of an approximately 2,207 square feet new building and related site construction. The General Contractor will also be responsible for Prime Contractor coordination.
Contract No. 02 (Mechanical) work generally includes, but is not limited to, a VRF system for the office area and long-tube radiant heaters for the vehicle bays.
Contract No. 03 (Electrical) work generally includes, but is not limited to, power service, conduit and wiring, and lighting. All exterior lighting is mounted on the building.
Contract No. 04 (Plumbing) work generally includes, but is not limited to, plumbing related to a kitchenette, hot water tank, restroom, mop sink and floor drains.
All bids shall conform with the Contract Documents prepared by EADS Architects, Inc., 450 Aberdeen Drive, Somerset, PA 15501 and dated April 2026. Contract Documents are to be purchased from EADS Architects, Inc. for the non-refundable fee of $40.00 for the electronic format set of Contract Documents, which includes 6% Pennsylvania sales tax. To access the electronic format the bidder must have a valid email address and will require an internet connection. All checks shall be made payable to EADS Architects, Inc. Bidders must purchase the Contract Documents from EADS Architects, Inc. to be eligible to bid this project. Contact Kathy Paul at 814-445-6551 ext. 374 or kpaul@eadsgroup.com to purchase documents. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at the Jenner Township Supervisors Office on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
This project is being financed in part by a grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Commonwealth Financing Authority. The obligations imposed on the Owner by the financing agency shall apply to and be acceptable to the successful bidder(s). Payment of the minimum PA Prevailing Wage Rates is required.
Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check made payable to the Jenner Township Supervisors in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner’s intent is to award all contracts by or before June 10, 2026. The Notice to Proceed is expected to be issued on approximately June 17, 2026 with substantial completion 180 consecutive calendar days thereafter. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, or conditional Bids. The Owner may waive minor informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the work scope and to award the contracts as may be deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
