NOTICE TO BIDDERS   The Board of Public Works and Safety of West Lafayette, of the State of Indiana, will receive sealed bids at the office of Sana Booker, City Clerk of West Lafayette, in Margerum City Hall, 222 N. Chauncey Ave, West Lafayette, Indiana until the hour of 8:30 A.M. on the 19th Day of May 2026, for the following project:   CELERY BOG IMPROVEMENTS:   THIS PROJECT CONSISTS OF MODIFYING AN INTERIOR BERM AND THE OUTLET SYSTEM OF THE CELERY BOG NEAR CUMBERLAND AVENUE FOR IMPROVED CONVEYANCE. THE BERM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CELERY BOG WILL BE MODIFIED BY WIDENING THE EARTHEN WEIR AND ARMORING THE OPENING WITH RIPRAP. THE OUTLET SYSTEM WORK INCLUDES THE REMOVAL OF TWO 36-INCH REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPES UNDER THE TRAIL NEAR THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE CELERY BOG AND REPLACEMENT WITH A 72-INCH X 36-INCH REINFORCED CONCRETE BOX CULVERT. IN ADDITION, A 24-INCH REINFORCED CONCRETE PIPE WILL BE INSTALLED UNDER CUMBERLAND AVENUE.   Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting at 8:30 A.M. on the 19th Day of May 2026. More detailed bid requirement information is included in the “Notice to Bidders – Specification Copy” which is part of the Bid Documents. Alternatively, the bid documents may be examined at the following location: The City of West Lafayette Engineering Department, 222 N. Chauncey Ave., West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. Documents will be made available on or about the 24th Day of April 2026. A virtual pre-bid meeting will be held on the 7th Day of May at 1:00 P.M. Each proposal shall be in a sealed envelope directed to the Board of Public Works and Safety of West Lafayette, and plainly marked to indicate the title of the project and the name and address of the bidder.
