Section 5311 Demand Response Public
Transportation Services
Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held by the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency at 9111 Cross Park Drive, Suite D-100, Knoxville, Tennessee 37923 at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, June 4, 2026 for the purpose of considering a project for which financial assistance is being sought from the Tennessee Department of Transportation , TDOT, pursuant to section 5311 of Chapter 53 of Title 49 of the United States Code, the project is generally described as follows: To provide continuation of transportation services for the elderly, handicapped, and general public in Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union counties. This project is funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee.
The purpose of this hearing is to provide all interested persons the opportunity to present their views on the social, economic, environmental, and other effects of the foregoing so the project will best serve the public interest.
Representatives of the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency will be present at the hearing site one hour prior to the time of the hearing to informally explain the project plans and related information to all interested persons.
Written statements and other exhibits in place of or in addition to oral statements made at the hearing may be submitted in writing, by mail, or email to Mike Patterson, Director ETHRA Public Transit at the East Tennessee Human Resource Agency, 9111 Cross Park Drive, Knoxville, Tennessee 37923. Within ten (10) days following the date of the hearing, and a copy furnished to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, Division of Passenger Transportation, Rail & Freight, James K. Polk Building, 12th Floor, 505 Deaderick Street, Nashville, Tennessee 37243.
