PUBLIC NOTICE
The Mississippi Soybean Promotion Board (MSPB) is seeking interested soybean producers to represent Mississippi as a Director on the United Soybean Board (USB).
USB is made up of farmer-directors who oversee the investment of soybean checkoff funds on behalf of all U.S. soybean farmers. These funds support research, promotion, and market development, including animal utilization, human utilization, industrial uses, industry relations, market access, and supply.
USB Directors are appointed by the United States Department of Agriculture and play a key role in shaping the future of the soybean industry.
Serving as a Director requires approximately 21 days annually, including three Board meetings (February, July, and December) and at least one Action Team meeting. Directors serve without compensation but are reimbursed for reasonable expenses.
Eligible candidates must be soybean producers in Mississippi who share in the ownership and risk of production. A Mississippi producer may only be nominated by MSPB.
Interested individuals should submit their name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number to director@mssoy.org no later than May 15, 2026.
For more information, visit www.mssoy.org. Prospective candidates are encouraged to reach out with questions about the role and nomination process to MSPB Executive Director at director@mssoy.org.
