NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
Coachella Valley Unified School District is requesting proposals for:
RFP NO. NS 27-02 - FRESH BREAD PRODUCTS - NUTRITION SERVICES
Our Department represents 22 school sites, serving more than 6,000 breakfasts; 15,000 lunches; 3,000 suppers and 2,000 snacks daily. Coachella Valley Unified School District’s Nutrition Services Department is the lead agency for this proposal.
No proposal shall receive consideration by CVUSD unless made in accordance with the instructions, conditions, and requirements herein, omission or non-conformance of any terms, conditions, or requirements may render the submitted proposal as non-responsive.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Coachella Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to supply fresh, high-quality bread products for its K-12 meal programs. Products must meet USDA nutritional guidelines, including whole grain-rich requirements, and accommodate allergen-free options as needed. Vendors will ensure timely delivery to district locations, maintain food safety standards, and provide clear labeling with nutritional and allergen information. Proposals will be evaluated based on product quality, compliance, pricing, vendor experience, and delivery capability directly to listed school sites. Interested vendors must submit product details, pricing, delivery plans, samples and references by deadline.
It is anticipated that the highest-ranked responsive and responsible proposer will be awarded a contract for Fresh Bread Products for Nutrition Services with an effective date of July 1, 2026, for a one (1) year term with the opportunity for two (2) additional one (1) - year extensions (total potential contract life of three years) upon mutual consent of the awarding agency and the vendor.
