Notice is hereby given that Palmyra Borough Council at its meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., at the Palmyra Municipal Center, 325 South Railroad Street, Palmyra, Pennsylvania, shall conduct a public hearing on and, if appropriate, at the conclusion of the public hearing or a subsequent meeting held within 60 days of the date of second publication of this advertisement, shall enact an ordinance, the caption of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE PALMYRA BOROUGH CODE OF ORDINANCES, CHAPTER 380, ZONING, TO ADD LIVE/WORK RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT AS A USE AND PROVIDE REGULATIONS FOR SUCH USE.
The ordinance may be summarized as follows. Section 1 amends Chapter 380, Zoning (“Zoning Ordinance”) to add definitions. Section 2 amends the Zoning Ordinance to authorize live/work residential development within the Town Residential Zone. Sections 3 – 4 amend the Zoning Ordinance to add new Sections 380-41.1, Redevelopment Tract Development, and 380-91.1, Live/Work Residential Development, to add regulations for such types of development. Sections 5 – 7 reaffirm all other parts and provisions of the Code of Ordinances, provide for severability of any invalid provisions, and set forth the effective date.
