The Pender County Board of Commissioners (BOCC) Will Hold Public Hearing as Follows: Date and Time: Monday May 18, 2026, at 8:00 pm Location: Hampstead Annex Auditorium, at 15060 US Hwy 17, Hampstead, NC 28443 Road Naming: •  An unnamed easement in Burgaw Township, Commissioner District 5, now has four homes which use it for ingress and egress. The Pender County Unified Development Ordinance (Art.11.3.1 B.) states that when a road provides access to more than three addressable structures, a road name shall be assigned. Also, the NC General Statutes (§ 153A-239.1.) state that a county shall not rename a road until a public hearing has been held. The affected landowners were petitioned to name the road.
