ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CHILD NUTRITION FOOD AND SUPPLIES REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) Langford Area School District 45-5 Rosholt School District 54-4 Summit School District 54-6 Sisseton School District 54-2 Britton-Hecla School District 45-4 RFP OPENS: May 6, 2026 RFP CLOSES: June 26, 2026–1:00 p.m. Central Time Notice is hereby given that sealed RFP’s will be received at the District Office of the schools addressed in this paragraph until 1:00 pm local time on June 26, 2026 for food purchases for the Langford, Rosholt, Summit, Sisseton, Britton-Hecla school districts, in accordance with specifications in the RFP prepared by the public school districts as a collective. Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Food Service Supervisor, until 1:00 pm, June 26, 2026 local time. Proposals will be opened informally on June 27, 2026 and reviewed at that time by the Food Service Supervisor and/or Business Manager. RFP’s received after said time will be invalid. Oral, telegraphic, or telephone proposal and modifications will not be considered. Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any bidder for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after opening of bids. Proposals submitted on forms other than the one provided will not be considered. The proposal form will be sent when interest by a company is given. Each respective District’s Board of Education will review the RFP’s received and pass upon them at a regular or special Board meeting in July 2026, depending on meeting schedules. The Board of Education of Langford Area School District 45-5, Rosholt School District 54-4, Summit School District 54-6, Sisseton School District 54-2, and Britton-Hecla School District 45-4, reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to accept proposals it deems to be in its best interest, and to waive any or all informalities in bidding procedures. By virtue of statutory authority, preference will be given to materials, products, and supplies found or produced within the State of South Dakota.
