NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CREATE AND NOTICE OF HEARING ON CREATION OF LOCAL UTILITY DISTRICT NO. 59
On May 12, 2026, the Commission of Public Utility District No. 1 of Kitsap County, Washington adopted Resolution No. 26-05-12C declaring its intention to create Local Utility District No. 59 ("LUD") and to order the construction of telecommunications facilities in Kitsap County. The boundaries of the proposed LUD and description of the proposed improvements are as set forth in Resolution No. 26-05-12C.
The utility infrastructure, including buried conduit, fiber optic cable and electronics, will be installed to each parcel and to each residence to support the proper operation of the telecommunications utility facilities by the district. The District shall acquire all property, both real and personal, or any interest therein and all rights-of-way, franchises, permits and easements, which may be found necessary to acquire, construct, and install the above-described improvements.
The estimated total cost of these improvements, and other expenses in connection with the improvements for the 4 parcels, is $76,681.00. Actual assessments may vary from assessment estimates so long as they do not exceed a figure equal to the increased true and fair value the improvement adds to the property. The assessments levied in the LUD shall be for the sole purpose of payment into such local utility district bond fund as may be specified by the Commission for the payment of local utility district bonds to be issued to defray the costs of the above improvements.
You are notified that a meeting of the Commission will be held at the District's office, 1431 Finn Hill Road, Poulsbo, Washington, via Microsoft Teams (contact Clerk of the Board, prior to the meeting, at clerkoftheboard@kpud.
