AN ORDINANCE AMENDING WASHOE COUNTY CODE CHAPTER 110 (DEVELOPMENT CODE) WITHIN ARTICLE 302 ALLOWED USES AND ARTICLE
406 BUILDING PLACEMENT STANDARDS, AND CREATING ARTICLE 403 RESIDENTIAL USES IN COMMERCIAL REGULATORY ZONES, TO ALLOW MULTIFAMILY RESIDENTIAL USE TYPES IN COMMERCIAL REGULATORY ZONES WITH THE APPLICATION OF MULTI-FAMILY DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS, TO ESTABLISH STANDARDS FOR MIXED-USE INCLUDING A MINIMUM PERCENTAGE FOR COMMERCIAL USE-TYPE SQUARE FOOTAGE, A MAXIMUM SQUARE FOOT PERCENTAGE FOR CIVIC USE-TYPES, SITE DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR PARKING, LANDSCAPING AND OTHER SIMILAR STANDARDS, A HEIGHT RESTRICTION, AND A REQUIREMENT FOR MUNICIPAL WATER AND WASTEWATER SERVICES; AND ALL MATTERS NECESSARILY CONNECTED THEREWITH AND PERTAINING THERETO.
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that typewritten copies of the above-numbered and entitled Ordinance are available for public inspection and distribution at the office of the County Clerk of Washoe County, at her office in the County Administrative Complex in Reno, Nevada, and that such Ordinance was proposed by Commissioner Hill on April 14, 2026, and was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Washoe County held on May 12, 2026, by the following vote of the Board of County Commissioners:
Those Voting Aye: Clara Andriola, Mariluz Garcia, Michael Clark, Jeanne Herman
Those Voting Nay: None
Those Absent: Alexis Hill
This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after the 22nd day of the month of May 2026.
