Public notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by Daugherty Township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, until Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM, prevailing time, at the Daugherty Township Office – 2182 Mercer Road, New Brighton, PA 15006 where they will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter for the resurfacing of various streets in the Township under the following Contract: 2026 STREET PAVING CONTRACT Plans and specifications are on file and may be obtained by emailing the Township Engineer at WaterPlanRoom@mbakerintl.com to request an electronic copy. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check payable to Daugherty Township or Bid Bond in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid total. All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142). Bidders must comply with all State anti-bid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid and provide proof of being PennDOT pre-qualified for the required work. The estimated cost for the Contract is greater than Twenty-five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply. All bidders are hereby notified that in regard to any contract pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, creed, sex, age, physical disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Similarly, the successful bidder shall in no manner discriminate against or intimidate any employee involved in the manufacture of supplies, the performance of work, or any other activity required under the contract on account of gender, race, creed or color. Daugherty Township reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities, to accept any bid or combination of bids that are deemed to be in the best interest of the Township, and to reject any or all proposals.
