LEGAL NOTICE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT NORTH PARK DIVISION Ordinance No. 111 Property owners, ratepayers, and other interested parties in or served or to be served by the sewerage system of the North Park Division of the South Central Regional Sewer District are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held on Ordinance No. 111, amending Ordinance No. 70 to adjust rates. The hearing will be held on May 27, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the Caslon Wastewater Treatment Plant, located at 9394 Foggy Morning Road, Bloomington, Indiana. SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT ORDINANCE NO. 111 PROVIDES IN PART AS FOLLOWS: SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT NORTH PARK DIVISION Ordinance No. 111 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 70, FOR THE NORTH PARK DIVISION OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT (Rate Adjustment) WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the South Central Regional Sewer District has studied the rates and charges of its North Park Division and determined that the existing charges to customers are insufficient to cover costs and expenses and should be adjusted; WHEREAS, based upon the aforementioned study, the Board of Trustees finds that the rates and charges set forth herein are nondiscriminatory, reasonable, and just; are based upon the cost of providing service to the customers of the sewage system; and should be adjusted accordingly; WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees has caused notice of a public hearing on the rates set forth herein to be duly advertised and held a public hearing thereon, all pursuant to Indiana Code; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE SOUTH CENTRAL REGIONAL SEWER DISTRICT THAT: Section 2.4 and 2.5 of Ordinance No. 70 are hereby amended and restated as follows: 2.4 Sewer Rates and Charges. Sewer rates and charges shall be based on the quantity of water that is used, as measured by a water meter, and also the size of the water meter. The schedule by which the amount of the monthly sewer rates shall be determined is as follows: First 2,000 gallons: $ 70.14 minimum per month Over 2,000 gallons: $ 11.50 per each additional 1,000 gallons per month There shall be no additional meter charge for single family residential meters. The schedule by which the amount of the monthly meter charges shall be determined for commercial industrial or governmental meters is as follows: 5/8 & ¾ inch meter $ 8.16 1 inch meter $ 18.23 1 ½ inch meter $ 47.03 2 inch meter $ 80.44 3 inch meter $180.19 4 inch meter $314.76 6 inch meter $709.76 2.5 Effective Date The sewer rates in Section 2.4 shall become effective with the service period commencing on or around June 1, 2026, and to be billed on or around July 1, 2026, for existing customers. These sewer rates shall become effective for future customers at the time a customer first discharges into the sewerage system, one hundred eighty (180) days after a water permit is issued to an owner, or ninety (90) days after the District gives an owner written notice to connect, whichever occurs first. These sewer rates shall extend to and cover any additional property served, without the necessity of any hearing or notice. Dated this 11th day of May 2026.
