ORDER OF NOTICE

In accordance with the provisions of Section 9-8-5 of the General Laws 1956 (2012 Reenactment) of the State of Rhode Island, civil cases in all counties that were filed prior to December 31, 2020 and have not been assigned to the Superior Court Trial Calendar and have not had action for more than five (5) years are deemed by the Court to be inactive and shall be considered by the Presiding Justice for Dismissal for Lack of Prosecution on June 29, 2026 at 9:30 A.M. in Courtroom 12 in the Licht Judicial Complex, 250 Benefit Street, Providence, Rhode Island.
Any party or attorney having an interest in any of said cases may file electronically a Motion to Remove 9-8-5 using filing code “Motion to Remove” or may appear to show cause, if any, why such cases should not be dismissed. Motions must be served upon all case parties. Copies of Proposed Dismissal List are available in all the county Clerks Offices and on the Rhode Island Judicial Website www.courts.ri.gov.
Notice of this Order and date of hearing shall be given by the Clerk of the Rhode Island Superior Court by publishing this Order once a week for two (2) successive weeks prior to June 3, 2026.
