OFFICIAL NOTICE BEFORE THE UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF IOWA TO THE CITIZENS OF LINN, JOHNSON, AND MUSCATINE COUNTIES: Notice is given that ITC Midwest LLC, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, pursuant to Iowa Code chapter 478, has filed a petition with the Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) for a franchise to erect, maintain, and operate an electric transmission line in Linn, Johnson, and Muscatine counties and that the petition sets forth the following maximum voltage, starting points, routes, and termini of the proposed line: 345,000 Volts Nominal (362,000 Volts Maximum) Electric Transmission Line Johnson County, Iowa The north end point of the 345 kV line is at a point of electrical connection with an ITC Midwest LLC (ITC) electric transmission line located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 2, Township 81 North, Range 6 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Johnson County, Iowa, and the north terminus of the 345 kV transmission line is at a point of electrical connection within ITC's Beverly Transmission Substation located in the Northwest Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 82 North, Range 7 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Linn County, Iowa, within the City of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The south end point end point of this line is at a point of electrical connection with an ITC electric transmission line located near the east quarter corner of Section 24, Township 78 North, Range 5 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Johnson County, Iowa, and the south terminus of the 345 kV line is at a point of electrical connection with an ITC electric transmission line within MidAmerican Energy Company's (MEC) Hills Substation located in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 10, Township 78 North, Range 6 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Johnson County, Iowa. This line begins at a point of electrical connection with an ITC electric transmission line located on the Johnson-Linn County line near the center of Seven Sisters Road, approximately 0.00 mile south and 0.27 mile west of the northeast corner of Section 2, Township 81 North, Range 6 West of the 5th Principal Meridian, Johnson County, Iowa; thence southeasterly on private property through the east half of the Northeast Quarter of said Section 2, the west half of Section 1, said township and range, crossing Seven Sisters Road, Iowa State Highway 1, and 110th Street, to a point on private property approximately 0.25 north and 0.25 east of the southwest corner of said Section 1, for a distance of approximately 0.88 mile; thence southeasterly on private property through the Southwest Quarter of said Section 1, and the north half of Section 12, crossing 120th Street (a.k.a.
