PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED ORDINANCE FOR WINDSOR TOWNSHIP The following is a summary of an ordinance proposed for adoption by the Windsor Township Board of Supervisors, York County, Pennsylvania at a public meeting to be held on Monday, June 15, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Township offices located at 1480 Windsor Road, Red Lion, Pennsylvania 17356. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for inspection without charge and copying at a charge no greater than the cost thereof at the Windsor Township Administration Building located at 1480 Windsor Road, Red Lion, Pennsylvania 17356, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., prevailing time. 1. Purpose: The purpose of the ordinance is to establish rules to conform with Act 101 of 1988, the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act. 2. Provisions: The ordinance provides definitions; establishment of a program; separation/disposal of recyclable materials from residential dwellings and small commercial establishments; separation/disposal of recycling materials by multi-family dwelling properties; separation/disposal of recyclable materials by community activities, large commercial, institutional and municipal establishments; recycling bins; separation/disposal of leaf waste; collection contract; collection by unauthorized person; other prohibited acts; non-collection of solid waste contaminated by designated recyclables; other means of residential recycling; non-interference with existing contracts; penalty for violation; severability and effective date.
