NOTICE
The Borough Council of the Borough of New Britain, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, will accept sealed proposals until 1:00 p.m., prevailing time, Monday, June 8, 2026 for Municipal Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Service for the period from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2031. Bid proposals will be accepted at the Borough’s administrative offices at 45 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901.
All bid proposals shall be properly executed in ink without alterations and shall be complete. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the first year’s total proposed cost as set forth in the bid response. Specifications and bid forms may be obtained at no cost from the offices of the Borough of New Britain at the address above from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, except holidays. Bid forms may also be obtained on the Borough’s website at www.newbritainboro.com or by e-mailing wolffj@newbritainboro.com. The successful bidder will be required to post a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid price for all applicable years.
All prospective bidders are required to take part in a mandatory pre- bid meeting on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM, to be held at Burkart Hall, 56 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901. Requests to participate remotely in the bid meeting shall be directed to wolffj@newbritainboro.com.
Bid Proposals will be opened at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Burkart Hall, 56 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901, which bid opening is open to the public. Borough Council will consider the bids and may, unless all bids are rejected, vote to approve the lowest qualifying bid on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM during Borough Council’s regular meeting at Burkart Hall, 56 Keeley Avenue, New Britain, PA 18901.
Borough Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof and to waive any defects or irregularities in the best interest of the Borough.
