NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the Environmental Resources Committee of the Marathon County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., Marathon County Courthouse Assembly Room B-105 500 Forest Street Wausau 54403, at which time the Committee will consider the following:
1. The petition of Thomas and Marka Henkelman to amend the General Code of Ordinances for Marathon County Chapter 17 Zoning Code to rezone lands from L-D-R Low Density Residential to G-A General Agriculture located in the Northwest ¼ of the Northwest Fractional ¼ of Section 5, Township 30 North, Range 9 East, Town of Hewitt. Parcel # 040-3009-052-0997.
2. The petition of Tim Vreeland on behalf of Rick Seefeldt to amend the General Code of Ordinance for Marathon County Chapter 17 Zoning Code to rezone lands from G-A General Agriculture to R-R Rural Residential, located in part of the Southwest ¼ of the Northwest ¼ of Section 13, Township 27 North, Range 10 East, Town of Elderon. Area proposed to be rezoned to R-R rural Residential is described as Lot 1 of the preliminary CSM. Parent Parcel # 022-2710-132-0996.
3. The petition of Jason Pflieger on behalf of Benjamin Seehafer to amend the General Code of Ordinance for Marathon County Chapter 17 Zoning Code to rezone lands from F-P Farmland Preservation to R-R Rural Residential, located in part of the Northeast ¼ of the fractional Northwest ¼ of Section 5, Township 26 North, Range 3 East, Town of McMillan. Area proposed to be rezoned to R-R Rural
Residential is described at Lot 2 of the preliminary CSM. Parent Parcel # 056-2603-052-0999.
4. The petition of Tim Vreeland on behalf of Ann and Jeff Jozwiak to amend the General Code of Ordinance for Marathon County Chapter 17 Zoning Code to rezone lands from F-P Farmland Preservation to L-D-R Low Density Residential and G-A General Agriculture, located in part of the Southwest ¼ of the Southwest ¼ of Section 23 Township 27 North, Range 3 East, Town of Eau Pleine. Area proposed to be rezoned to Low Density Residential is described as Lot 1 and area proposed to be rezoned to General Agriculture is described as the remnant of the original parcel. Parent Parcel #020 2703-233-0985.
All interested persons will be provided the opportunity to be heard at the public hearing.
