Applicant has placed a storage shed and is requesting a variance in the approximate amount of 3’- 8” from the 5’ minimum required setback distance measured from the left side property line. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-25.A(2). Request #3, submitted by RNR Group LLC, 2796 Leitersburg Road, Waynesboro, PA 17268 for property located at 770 Olde Walker Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Property is located in the Exit 17 Interchange Overlay within the TC (Transitional Commercial) Zoning District. The current use of the property (Franklin Tractor & Equipment) as a farm equipment sales and service is a nonconforming use in the TC and Overlay District. Applicant proposes expansion of their existing building as well as construction of an accessory storage building. Requested is approval to expand the nonconforming use as well as for the expansion to be in excess of 30% of the existing nonconformance. Request is in reference to Greene Township Code 105-46.D(1).
