LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING WITH INTENTION TO DEMOLISH GARAGE, SHED AND FENCE, VACATE & SEAL, CIVIL PENALTY, AND CONTINUOUS ENFORCEMENT
TO: K & L PROPERTIES LLC, and to all persons or corporations having or claiming any rights, titles or interest in the following real estate commonly known as 2133 ELMER ST., SOUTH BEND, IN 46628, described as Key Parcel# 018-2214-8131, and State Parcel# 71-03-34-204-010.000-026.
You are hereby ordered to be present at a hearing before the Hearing Officer, Neighborhood Services and Enforcement, on JUNE 4, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. held in Room 301 (3rd) Floor of City Hall located at 215 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., South Bend, IN.
At this hearing, the Hearing Officer may affirm the demolition order on the GARAGE, SHED AND FENCE, if the property owners do not have the GARAGE, SHED AND FENCE,demolished by JUNE 4, 2026. If the demolition order is affirmed, the City of South Bend will award a demolition contract to the lowest bidder, have the GARAGE, SHED AND FENCE demolished and bill the property owners for the cost of the demolition plus $712.00 in administrative fees.
This is a continuous enforcement order as defined by I.C. 36-7-9 and therefore is in full force and effect without the need to seek additional compliance, abatement or orders for the same or similar violations. On-going compliance and enforcement activities are authorized if necessary, and fees and costs may be assessed and collected without the need for additional notice or hearing.
