ATTENTION: DESTRUCTION OF CONFIDENTIAL RECORDS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES CLEVELAND COUNTY SCHOOLS
Annually, records concerning children with disabilities in the Cleveland County Schools will be destroyed 6 years after students leave the education program for children with disabilities, if no litigation, claim, audit or other official action involving the records has been initiated.
Parents, guardians, surrogate parents, or eligible students may obtain these records prior to destruction, if desired, by contacting the Program Director for Exceptional Children, Stephanie Hinson at 704-476-8068. Minimal information from these records will be maintained indefinitely at the Cleveland County Schools Central Services Building, 400 W. Marion Street.
If no request is made for records prior to July 1, 2026 the records will be destroyed.
