COMES NOW the Iowa Board of Behavior Health Professionals (“Board”), and herein sets forth confidential investigative information in accordance with Iowa Code section 272C.6(4)(a) in support of the Notice of Hearing and Statement of Charges filed in this case:
MATTERS ASSERTED
It is alleged the Respondent engaged in the following conduct:
A. On or around July 19, 2022, a complaint was filed against the Respondent alleging that the Respondent acted unprofessionally with clients.
B. Subsequent investigation revealed that Respondent had disclosed and discussed irrelevant and non-treatment related topics during multiple sessions, the Respondent had breached patient confidentiality on at least two separate occasions, that Respondent failed to maintain professional boundaries during sessions by sharing details of her own personal sex life, and that Respondent made nonprofessional interactions and relationships with patients by making inappropriate comments and remarks to or about clients that made both staff and patients uncomfortable.
