NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Bids, subject to the conditions contained herein, for improvements to the Virgil I. Grissom Memorial Airport, Bedford, Indiana, AIP Project No. 3-18-0005-028-2026, will be received by the Virgil I. Grissom Memorial Airport. All bids shall ONLY be submitted electronically through QuestCDN electronic bidding service, until Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. (local time), at which time the electronic bidding system will close. Immediately following the bid deadline, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m. (local time) via Virtual Bid Opening, in the order they were received.
On May 22, 2026, the bidding documents will be available at https://woolpert.com/bid and/or www.questcdn.com - Reference Quest Number 10099457. To be considered a plan holder, register with QuestCDN.com for a free Regular membership and download the documents for a cost of $42.00. Downloading the documents and becoming a plan holder is recommended as plan holder’s receive automatic notice of addenda, other contract document updates and access to vBid, online bidding via QuestCDN. In order to submit a responsive bid as a Prime Contractor and to receive all necessary addendum(s) for this project, you must be on the Planholder’s List. It is the planholder’s responsibility to review the site for addendums and changes before submitting their proposal. This includes reviews for environmental changes. The work involved will include the following: Purchase of airport snow removal equipment (SRE) including a painted chrome-yellow carrier vehicle; carrier vehicle appurtenances including attached spot light and beacon lights, Very High Frequency (VHF) radio transceiver, fire extinguisher, and specified accessory and tools; rotary broom attachment; articulated displacement plow attachment; front-mounted bucket; and SRE delivery and training at the Virgil I. Grissom Memorial Airport as more specifically set out in the specifications.
Bid Bond guarantee will be required with each bid as a certified check on a solvent bank or a Bid Bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the Lawrence County Board of Aviation Commissioners.
A voluntary pre-bid conference for this project will be held on Monday, June 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, virtually.
