SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY NOTICE OF HEARING NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER PROPOSED WATER AND SANITATION RATE ADJUSTMENTS FOR THE NAMED COUNTY SERVICE AREAS AND ZONES, FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-27 THROUGH 2030-31. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, County Government Center, 385 North Arrowhead Avenue, First Floor, San Bernardino, California, the Board of Supervisors, acting in its capacity as the governing body of the County Service Areas listed below, will hold a public hearing to consider proposed adjustments to water and sanitation service charges for Fiscal Years 2026-27 through 2030-31. The proposed rate adjustments will apply to the following County Service Areas and Zones: County Service Area 42 (Oro Grande) Water & Sewer County Service Area 53 Zone B (Fawnskin) Sewer County Service Area 64 (Spring Valley Lake) Water & Sewer County Service Area 70 Zone BL (Bloomington) Sewer Zone CG (Cedar Glen) Water Zone F (Morongo Valley) Water Zone J (Oak Hills) Water Zone GH (Glen Helen) Sewer Zone S-3 (Lytle Creek) Sewer Zone W 3 (Hacienda) Water Zone W 4 (Pioneertown) Water County Service Area 82 (Searles Valley) Sewer Alternate locations to address the Board by interactive video will be available at the Joshua Tree Community Center, 6171 Sunburst Avenue, Joshua Tree, California and the Jerry Lewis High Desert Government Center, 15900 Smoke Tree Street, Hesperia, California. At the hearing, the Board of Supervisors will consider all public comments, including written and oral objections or protests, regarding the proposed rate adjustments. Any interested person may appear at the hearing and be heard. Written protests may be submitted to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 385 North Arrowhead Avenue, Second Floor, San Bernardino, CA 92415-0130, and must be received before the close of the public hearing. Written protests may also be submitted in person at the hearing. A written protest may be submitted by the record owner or customer of the affected property and must identify the property, including the Assessor's Parcel Number (APN). Only one written protest per parcel will be counted for purposes of determining a majority protest. If a majority protest exists, the proposed rate adjustments will not be adopted for that County Service Area. Following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors may consider whether to introduce an ordinance to implement the proposed rate adjustments. If approved, the rate adjustments would take effect beginning in Fiscal Year 2026-27 and may continue through Fiscal Year 2030-31.
