INVITATION FOR BIDS HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SAN ANGELO Owner Sealed proposals for the general construction of the sidewalk and retaining wall project at Desert Shadows Apartments in San Angelo, Texas will be received by the Owner at the Housing Authority of the City of San Angelo – Administration Office (mailing address: 420 E. 28th, San Angelo, Texas 76903), until 10:00 AM, June 25th, 2026, Local Time, after which time the Owners shall open bids privately at their convenience. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held Thursday, June 11th, 2026, at 10:00 AM. This Pre-Bid Conference will be closed to the public and bidders will be invited by Quorum Architects, via tele-conference/Microsoft Teams application. The work will be awarded under one lump sum provided, however, the contract with any successful bidder shall divide the Contract Price between labor and material. A satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable surety (the BID BOND shall be from a Company which is on the U. S. Treasury Department List, as an approved Surety Company) in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total base bid shall be submitted with each bid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the Contract Price will be required. The Contractor’s bonding companies’ payment and performance bond sureties must be listed on the U.S. Department of Treasury’s List of Approved Sureties. Original bid forms only will be accepted. Noted on the mailing Envelope – SEALED BID ENCLOSED on the face thereof. Digital Bids, Bid Bonds and alterations to bids submitted by email, copier, telegraph, or facsimile (fax) machine shall not be considered. Digital Copies of the contract documents may be on file at plan rooms in various cities of the state and may be obtained upon request to the Architect at candicep@qarch.com, (817) 546-6309 and unless otherwise specified, will be emailed in digital format and at no cost. Procurement and cost of printed bid documents are the responsibility of the Contractor. The Owner considers all bidders, contractors, workers, and suppliers without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, or any legally protected status. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of 90days from the date bids are opened.
