Notice is hereby given that the Red Clay Consolidated School District is set to request a waiver from the Red Clay Consolidated Board of Education concerning the requirements outlined in Chapter 17, Title 14, Section 1726 (c)(2). This waiver will empower us to allocate Opportunity Funds more effectively, ensuring that we can better serve our English Learner (EL) and Low-Income (LI) students without the restriction that 98% of these funds must go to the originating schools.
The Board will consider this essential matter at our next meeting on **June 17, 2026**. This notice has been shared with the principal, the Red Clay Education Association (RCEA) building representative, and the president of the PTA/PTO/PTSO in each school.
We encourage all interested parties to submit written comments to the Board of Education, Attention: Superintendent’s Office, 1502 Spruce Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19805. Additionally, we invite the public to engage with us directly by providing comments at the Board of Education meeting on June 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM, following the Board’s guidelines for public commentary.
