PUBLIC NOTICE MARICOPA COUNTY, ARIZONA PROPOSED PALOMINO ACRES IRRIGATION WATER DELIVERY DISTRICT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Board of Supervisors of Maricopa County, Arizona on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 9:30 a.m., in the Supervisors’ Auditorium, 205 W. Jefferson, Phoenix, on an Impact Statement submitted to the Board proposing the formation of the Palomino Acres Irrigation Water Delivery District located in Supervisorial District 1. At the hearing on June 24, 2026, the Board will hear those who appear for and against the proposed district and then determine whether the creation of the district will promote public health, comfort, convenience, necessity or welfare. If the Board determines that the above criteria and related requirements outlined in the statutes are met, it shall authorize the persons proposing the district to circulate petitions. The impact statement provides information regarding the benefits/injuries, organizing board members, estimated assessed valuation and an estimated $134.12 per acre per year change in property tax liability as a result of the proposed district. The impact statement is on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 301 W. The district boundaries for the proposed Palomino Acres Irrigation Water Delivery District are as follows: (Supervisorial District 1) Lots 1 through 6, and Lots 9 through 32, of PALOMINO ACRES, a Subdivision of the South Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 30, Township 1 South, Range 6 East, of the Gila and Salt River Base and Meridian according to the Plat of Record in the Office of the County Recorder of Maricopa County, Arizona, Recorded in Book 95 of Maps, Page 38.
