In general, the major work items include: The demolition and disposal of the existing bridge structure and supports, including existing abutments, foundations, and footings, and the installation of two new concrete abutment structures, footings, and wingwalls, the placement and installation of a pre-fabricated pedestrian bridge. Additional improvements to the landing and pathway areas including asphalt pavement replacement, concrete curb replacement, bollards, and handrails. Channel restoration work includes riprap placement. The Bidders attention is directed to Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165 setting forth the requirements for the use of apprentices on public works which requires a contractor or subcontractor to comply with certain requirements relating to the use of apprentices on public works.
