PUBLIC NOTICE     Pursuant to the “Surface Mining Conservation & Reclamation Act” and “Clean Streams Law” notice is hereby given that Coal Loaders, Inc., 210 East Main Street, Ligonier, PA 15658, has made application to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection for renewing its existing Surface Coal Mine Permit and related NPDES permit.   The current SMP #56100107/ NPDES # PA0263117, known as Gumbert Mine was issued on 09/29/2011 and will expire on 09/29/2026. This renewal contains a request for Stage I bond release.   The receiving streams for this permit area are Unnamed Tributaries to Buffalo Creek and Buffalo Creek. The operation is located in Brothersvalley Township, Somerset County. The permit area is situated just north of the Village of Pine Hill between Buffalo Creek Rd.(T-616) and Pine Hill Rd.(T-2027). The Berlin, PA and Murdock, PA 7.5' U.S.G.S topographic maps contains the area described.   Bond release of $87,030.00 is requested for 68.3 acres. Total bond held is $145,051.00. The release area has been backfilled and regraded and is eligible for Stage I bond release.   A copy of the renewal application is available for public inspection at the Cambria District Office, DEP, Bureau of District Mining Operations, 286 Industrial Park Road, Ebensburg, PA 15931. Written comments, objections, or a request for public hearing or informal conference may be submitted to the District Mining Manager at the above address no later than thirty (30) days following the final publication date of this notice.
