The Merkel Independent School District will be accepting bids or quotes for the purchase of motor fuel for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful vendor must place a 2,000 gallon diesel tank and a 2,000 gallon gasoline tank at Bus barn. The vendor must also place a 500 gallon diesel tank at the maintenance yard. Submit in writing the vendor’s bid or quote with the name, address, and phone number of the person authorized to provide the competitive quote to: Superintendent, Merkel ISD, P.O. Box 430, Merkel, Texas 79536. To be considered, bids and quotes must be received at the Merkel ISD Central Office before 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The bids and quotes will be reviewed, and a contract will be awarded to the successful vendor by the MISD Board of Education during the next regular monthly meeting, in the Merkel ISD Central Office conference room at 314 Manchester in Merkel, Texas. The Merkel ISD Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
