NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting of the Redding City Council of Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, located at 777 Cypress Avenue, Redding, California, the City Council of the City of Redding will hold public hearings for the purpose of adopting the Water Shortage Contingency Plan (WSCP) and the 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP). California state law requires each urban water supplier to prepare and adopt a Water Shortage Contingency Plan. The WSCP documents the City’s plans to respond to a potential future water shortage. California state law requires each urban water supplier to prepare and adopt an Urban Water Management Plan every five years, which must also include an independently adopted WSCP. The UWMP documents the Agency’s plans to ensure adequate water supplies to meet existing and future demands for water under a range of water supply conditions, including water shortages. Summaries of the WSCP and UWMP will be presented at the public hearing.
