NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Nockamixon Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania, will conduct a public hearing on June 18, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at the Nockamixon Township Municipal Building, located at 589 Lake Warren Road, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972. The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comment and public testimony regarding the proposed ordinance entitled,
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE PROVISIONS OF THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF NOCKAMIXON TOWNSHIP, BUCKS COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA TO REGULATE DATA CENTERS
In summary, the proposed Ordinance amends Chapter 234 (“Zoning”), Article IV (“Use Regulations”), Section 234-23 (“Industrial use regulations.”) by adding a new Subsection 234-23(X), including two definitions under Subsection 234-23(X)(1). Subsection 234-23(X)(2) imposes conditions on existing Data Centers, and Subsection 234-23(X)(3) de-scribes regulations and requirements, including but not limited to dust, smoke, and exhaust restrictions; required application documents; fencing obligations; environmental protection standards; maximum temperature limits; and financial securities. It strikes Attachment 1 – Attachment A (“Table of Use Regulations”) in its entirety and replaces it with a new table adding Data Centers under Industrial Uses. It amends Section 234-45.A.(2) (“Industrial”) by inserting “G-24 Data Center” to the list of conditional uses. Finally, the proposed ordinance has a repealer and a severability clause, as well as a provision for the effective date five (5) days after approval and adoption.
At the public meeting after the hearing, the Board of Supervisors may consider enactment of the proposed ordinance. A copy of the proposed ordinance may be reviewed at the Nockamixon Township Municipal Building located at 589 Lake Warren Road, Upper Black Eddy, PA 18972 during normal business hours. A copy has been provided to the newspaper in which this notice appears, and to the Bucks County Law Library.
