NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that upon the application of Camden Community Solar LLC and Camden Community Solar 2 LLC (collectively, the "Applicant"), the City of Camden Planning Board (the "Board") shall conduct a virtual public hearing on Thursday, June 18, 2026, commencing at 6:00 P.M., at which time it will consider the Applicant's request for Preliminary Major Site Plan Approval and, if necessary, Bulk Variance Approvals, all related to two-phased development and use of approximately 2.5 Megawatts Direct Current (MWdc) nameplate capacity of solar photovoltaic (solar panel) capacity through the construction of elevated solar parking canopies over existing parking lots, which are located at 1 Subaru Drive (identified as Block 1459, Lot 9 on the Official Tax Maps of the City of Camden) and 1350 Admiral Wilson Boulevard and 250 Memorial Avenue (identified as Block 1464, Lots 4 and 5, respectively, on the Official Tax Maps of the City of Camden) (collectively, the "Property"). The Property is located within the Office Light Industrial ("OLI") Zoning District and is home to Subaru of America headquarters. The proposed solar parking canopies do not involve any changes to the existing buildings and other facilities currently constructed on the Property.
At the same time, the Applicant will also be requesting that the Planning Board grant any and all other Submission and/or Design Waivers, Variances, Ordinance interpretations, de minimis exceptions and/or other relief or approvals that may be determined to be necessary in order to allow for the Applicant's proposed development and use of the Property.
Please accept this as notification in accordance with the "Open Public Meetings Act" that the meeting of the Planning Board of the City of Camden scheduled for Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. WILL BE CONDUCTED REMOTELY AND LIVE VIA MICROSOFT TEAMS VIDEO CONFERENCE. Copies of the Applicant's application, plans, and related documents are on file with the Administrative Officer of the Planning Board in the Planning Office at City Hall, 520 Market Street, Room 224, Camden, New Jersey. Interested parties should contact the Planning Office at AnMiller@ci.camden.nj.us to make arrangements to view the application documents. Any interested party may appear at said hearing via Microsoft TEAMS as explained above and participate therein in accordance with the rules of the Planning Board. Please take further notice that the Planning Board may at its discretion, adjourn, postpone, or continue said review from time to time and you are hereby notified that you should make diligent inquiry of the Planning Office concerning such adjournments, postponements, or continuations.
