LEGAL NOTICE ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF WATER RESOURCES BEFORE THE DIRECTOR In the matter of application number 73-572386.0301 for a water storage permit, located within the West Salt River Valley Sub-basin of the Phoenix Active Management Area, the Director gives notice that the City of Buckeye has filed the above-referenced application pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute (A.R.S.) § 45-831.01. The City of Buckeye proposes to store up to 10,000 acre-feet per year of effluent at the Roosevelt Irrigation District Groundwater Savings Facility (GSF) for the duration of GSF Permit No. 72-572386. A copy of the water storage permit application is available for review at the Department, or electronically, upon receipt of a public records request. A public records request can be submitted online here: https://app.azwater.gov/eforms/Forms/Request/DWR_Request.aspx Objections to the issuance of this permit may be filed by persons who may be adversely affected by this project and must be filed, in writing, with the Docket Supervisor of the Department of Water Resources, Legal Division, 1110 West Washington Street, Suite 310, Phoenix, Arizona 85007, within fifteen (15) days after the last day of publication of this notice. For this application, the final date on which an objection may be filed is June 26, 2026. Objections are limited to whether the application for the water storage permit meets the criteria of A.R.S. § 45-831.01. An objection shall state the name and mailing address of the objector, be signed by the objector, their agent, or attorney, and must clearly set forth reasons why the permit should not be issued.
