Petition to Amend Zoning District Boundaries by Rezoning a Portion of from I-1 Light Industrial Addition to R-2 Single Family Attached Residential District
In accordance with §21.0505 and §21.0209 of Watertown’s Revised Ordinances, the Petitioners, Russel and Lee Annette Ronke, being the owner of the real property described as:
“The South 106’ of the West 81’ of Lot 1, Block 6 of Watertown Equipment Company Addition in the County of Codington, Located in Govt. Lot 3 of Section 1, T116N, R53W of the 5th P.M., Codington County, South Dakota.”
Which upon platting will be known as: “Lot 2 of Handy Self Storage Addition to the Municipality of Watertown, in the County of Codington, South Dakota.”
Have submitted to the Mayor and City Council of the Municipality of Watertown, South Dakota a Petition for Rezoning requesting that said real property be rezoned from its existing designation of I-1 Light Industrial Addition to R-2 Single Family Attached Residential District.
The Petition will be considered by the Watertown City Council during a public hearing to be conducted at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 20 N Maple, Watertown, SD on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. Public participation in this meeting may be done on this day in person or via teleconference.
