RAISIN CHARTER TOWNSHIP
DEFERMENT OF 2026 SUMMER TAXES
Forms for Deferment of Summer Taxes are available at the Raisin Township office during regular business hours, Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Deferment form can also be found on the township’s website, www.raisinchartertownship.com. To be eligible for the deferment, your gross household income for the prior calendar year cannot exceed $40,000 and one of the following criteria must be met:
1. 62 years of age or older, including the unmarried
surviving spouse of a person who was 62 years of age or
older at the time of death
2. Paraplegic, Hemiplegic, or Quadriplegic
3. Eligible Serviceperson, Eligible Veteran, Eligible Widow
or Widower
4. Blind Person
5. Totally and Permanently Disabled
Property that is classified or used as agricultural real property, and that the gross receipts of agricultural or horticultural operations in the previous year (or the average gross receipts for such operations in the previous three years) are not less than the household income of the owner for the preceding calendar year or the combined household incomes in the previous year of the individual members of a limited liability company or partners of a partnership that owns the agricultural real property.
Forms must be turned in to the Township Treasurer before September 15, 2026 to be eligible for deferment. Payment for the summer taxes must be received on or before February 16, 2027 to avoid penalty and interest.
