GREETINGS:
Pursuant to an order made at a hearing on May 26, 2026 you are hereby notified the Georgia Department of Human Services through the Chatham County Department
of Family and Children Services filed a petition on April 9, 2026 for Woylenia and Christopher Corbin to be appointed permanent guardians of the above-referenced children.
A free copy of the petition may be obtained from the Clerk of Juvenile Court of Chatham County, 197 Carl Griffin Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31405, on any day Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
A court hearing of your case has been scheduled July 15, 2026 at 11:15 a.m. at the Juvenile Court of Chatham County, 197 Carl Griffin Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31405. You are commanded to be and appear at said hearing.
If you have any objection to either the establishment of a permanent guardianship for the children or to the selection of Woylenia and Christopher Corbin as permanent guardians of the children or to both, you must file a written objection setting forth the grounds of any such objection with this Court within ten days of the date you are personally served, within fourteen days of the mailing of this notice, or within ten
days of the date of the second publication of this notice.
This is to further advise any named and/or unnamed biological father who is not the legal father that you will lose all rights to object to the appointment of a permanent
guardian for the children unless you file an objection with this Court within fourteen days of the notice and file a petition to legitimate the child within thirty days of the hearing on the objection to permanent guardianship.
This is a very serious matter. You should contact an attorney immediately so that you can be prepared for the court hearing. You have the right to hire an attorney and to have him or her represent you. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, the Court will appoint an attorney if the Court finds that you are an indigent person. Whether or not you decide to hire an attorney, you have the right to attend the hearing of your case, to call witnesses on your behalf and to question those witnesses brought against you.
