NOTICE   The following ordinance was introduced at the Donaldsonville City Council meeting held on May 26, 2026 at which time a quorum was present. A public hearing will be held on June 11, 2026 at 11:00 am in the council chambers, City Hall, Donaldsonville, Louisiana. All interested parties are invited to attend. A copy of the proposed budget is available for inspection at City Hall, located at 609 Railroad Avenue, Donaldsonville, Louisiana 70346.   Ordinance 2026-09 (Proposed Budget 2026-2027 Budget)   An ordinance of the City of Donaldsonville, providing for the annual operating budget for July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, providing for expenditures, providing a budget message, providing detailed estimates of proposed expenditures, providing detailed estimates of anticipated revenues and other income, providing statements of indebtedness of the City, providing any other information as requested by the Council, providing that the total expenditures should not exceed the total revenues, providing for appropriations in accordance with said budget document, providing for severability of provisions, and providing an effective date of adoption.   SECTION 1: The Annual Budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027 shall be in accordance with the City of Donaldsonville Annual Budget Report dated June 30, 2026 attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference. SECTION 2: If any provision or item of this ordinance or the application thereof is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions, items, or applications of this ordinance which can be given affect without the invalid provision, items or applications and to this end the provision of this ordinance is hereby declared severable.
