The Cloud Cap Energy Storage project is a battery energy storage facility proposed on a privately-owned parcel directly adjacent to the SunValley substation. Cloud Cap Storage is on APN 503-84-040D, which is north of SunValley Parkway, directly south of APS's SunValley Substation, and west of 291st Avenue. The rezone request is to update the current obsolete zone of Planned Community to Single-Family Residential (R1-43). The Conditional Use Permit is submitted to conditionally allow a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) on this parcel.
